Arnold R. Camenisch, 79, of 420 Ninth St., Marion, died Sunday in Mercy Hospital following a long illness.
He was born Aug. 29, 1907, at Luzerne and married June Cox on Nov. 30, 1933, at Marengo. Mr. Camenisch farmed in Tama County until 1956, when he moved to Marion. He was also a laborer and a member of Laborers International Union of North America, Local 43.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Donald of Algona and Robert and Jim of Cedar Rapids; four daughters, Eleanor Newhouse of Springdale, Ark., and Patricia Gode, Donna Fugate and Carroll White, all of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Nina Meredith of Shelby; a brother, Chris of Avoca; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Murdoch Chapel in Marion, by the Rev. G.C. Cox of Spring Hill Baptist Church, Oakland, Miss. Burial: Oak Shade cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at the chapel from 4 to 9 p.m. today. A memorial fund has been established.
