Survivors include seven children, Eleanor Newhouse of if Springdale, Ar., Donald Camenisch of Algona, Patricia Gode (Otto) of Marion, Donna Fugate (Donald) of Cedar Rapids, Carroll White (Jerry) of Cedar Rapids, Robert Camenisch (Julie) of Independence; two sisters Louise Harmon and Elma Schuchert, both of Des Moines; a brother Louis Cox of California; 22 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Arnold.
June was born the fifth child of a family of 13 to Grover Cleveland Cox and Jenny Pearl Frander Cox on June 25, 1912, in Oskaloosa. She married Arnold R. Camenisch on Nov. 30, 1933, in Marengo. He died July 19, 1987. June taught school at various country schools and retired from Central City School in 1977.
She always had time for her children. It didn't matter how many grandchildren or great-grandchildren she had, each was as special as if it were her first. She never gave advice unless it was asked for and she always supported whatever decision you made, even if she didn't agree with it. With seven children, she earned every one of those gray heads on her head. She was always concerned with others and never complained about not feeling well. She didn't like people waiting on her and we always told people she was a tuff lady.
