Lyle A. Cleaver, who had spent practically his entire life in Marion, died Saturday at his new home in Milwaukee, Wis., where he had moved this summer. He was born in Marion in November, 1900, the son of Elton A. and Anna Smith Cleaver, and had never married.
Two brothers preceded him in death recently, Wayne in 1938, and Elton in 1940. Surviving are two uncles, Henry Smith, of Melbourne, Ark., and two aunts, Mrs. John Holder, of Ida Grove and Mrs. S. C. Bretnall, of Cedar Rapids.
Cleaver had been employed as a checker with the Milwaukee railroad, starting to work here at the age of sixteen years.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Yocom chapel in Marion, with the Rev. S.C. Bretnall, of Cedar Rapids, in charge. Burial was made in Oak Shade cemetery.
