Funeral services for W. Arthur Hansen, 80, former Tipton resident who once worked as a mechanic for Cedar county, were held in Cedar Rapids Jan. 17 with burial in Cedar Memorial park. Mr. Hansen died at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, Jan. 14.

Born at Sheyenne, ND Aug. 3, 1902, he was married to Rachel F. Green at Nashua June 15, 1931. He was a mechanic for Cedar county before moving from Tipton to Cedar Rapids in 1944. He was employed by the Allen Supply Co. until his retirement in 1979.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Schulze, Cedar Rapids; 3 sisters, Laura Vatne, Vancouver, British Columbia; Esther Bastian, Federal Way, WA and Gladys Hagen, Cookeville, TN; 3 brothers, Norman, Stafford, AZ and Lloyd and Harold, both of Minneapolis; 5 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
