BOYD--Died, Monday morning, Nov. 13, 1879, at his parents' residence in this city, Granville Moody Boyd, son of Professor and Mrs. Boyd, aged 2 years and 4 months, of diphtheria.

Little Granville was a bright, winsome child, a source of perpetual joy, full of promise for the future, and the center of the fondest hopes of his loving parents. His illness was brief; the fell destroyer did its deadly work upon his delicate frame quickly. A fair young life has faded in the light of early dawn, and has slipped away from the loving hearts that nurtured him here, but the memory of his bright, winsome life will still shine in to relieve the dark days, whitch will yet come into the lives that now mourn and refuse to be comforted. An affliction of this kind is the saddest loss that can befall any one. No other sorrow could weigh half so heavily, or plerce a loving heart so deeply. The deepest sympathy of our people for the bereaved parents.
