John “Jack” Clement Kriz, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday August 30, 2022, in St. Luke’s Hospital. Services: 1:00 p.m. Thursday September 8, 2022, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until service time. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Judy, their children, Anthony “Tony” (Lisa) Kriz of Denver, Colorado and Kristina (Scott) Farrington of Toddville, Iowa, four grandchildren and a sister, Carolyn Enzler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Joseph Enzler.

John was born November 16, 1939, in Mason City, Iowa the son of Clement and Anne (Andersen) Kriz. He married Judy Ford on October 22, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. John was employed with Northwestern Bell for 32 years. He served in the Army during the Viet Nam War, achieving the rank of E-5 Sergeant. John was a master woodworker and loved watersports owning several boats. He was a member of Communications Workers of America. He was devoted to his family and much loved.
