Marlene J. Cameron, 88, of Marion, IA, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022.

A funeral service celebrating Marlene’s life will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 pm Saturday at the Chapel. Burial will then be held in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include her son, Ken (Dick Nemec) Cameron of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Kathleen (Curtis) Etzel of Cedar Rapids; grandson, Justin (Stephany) Waterhouse, great grandchildren, Shae, Harper, Peyton, Hudson Waterhouse, all of Palo; step-grandsons, Eric Etzel, Dustin Etzel, both of Cedar Rapids, Travis (Christine) Etzel, step great grandsons, Adrian, Oscar Etzel, all of Winston-Salem, NC; brother, Charles Clayton Nosley of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Delmar Cameron, and son-in-law, Creg Waterhouse.

Marlene Joan Nosley was born September 29, 1933, to George Clayton and Charlene Alora (Long) Nosley. She graduated from Lisbon High School in 1951 and on December 26, 1951, she married Charles Delmar Cameron in Lisbon, IA, while he was home on military leave. Marlene worked for 40 years at Farmers State Bank in Marion as a bank teller. Many lasting lifelong relationships were made during that time with fellow employees and many customers.

Marlene was a member of First Baptist Church in Marion where she was involved with many church activities, a member of the Marion Business Girls, Red Hat Club, and enjoyed playing bridge and “500”. She was always on the go enjoying shopping and going out to eat with her family and friends. Most of all she loved taking care of and being with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her, especially her family.
