Frank R. Whitney, 34, of 521 Seventh avenue SW, manager of the Cedar Rapids Food Center, died at 6 p.m. Saturday in University hospital at Iowa City after a long illness. He was born in Cedar Rapids March 15, 1914.
He was a member of Foresters of America.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Whitney of Cedar Rapids, and two half-brothers, W.D. Osborne of Cedar Rapids and R.D. Osborne of Detroit.
Services will be conducted in the Beatty chapel at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Linwood cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
