Donald L. DeWald, 52, of 914 A avenue NW, resident of Cedar Rapids 10 years, died at 9:20 a.m. Sunday in a Cedar Rapids hospital after a brief illness. Born at Marion May 31, 1899, Mr. DeWald resided there until 10 years ago. He was employed as buffer for Dearborn Brass Company.
Mr. DeWald was married at Kahoka, Mo., Nov. 18, 1940, to Leona Buehler, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Donald, jr., of Waterloo; a daughter, Brenda Joyce Buehler of Cedar Rapids, and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Slauson of Marion.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Yocom-Murdoch funeral home, Marion, by the Rev. H.T. Woods of Four Square Gospel church, Cedar Rapids. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at the funeral home.
