Mrs. Edith Marie Speck, widow of Harry L. Speck, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Opal M. Kline, 1309 Third street SW, at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday after a long illness. She was born Sept. 9, 1889 at Sioux City, but lived in this community most of her life.
In addition to her daughter she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Erickson; a granddaughter, Sharon Lea Kline; a brothers, George Freisinger; four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Bye, Mrs. Clara Olver and Miss Thelma Erickson, all of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Jack Bowdish of Marion.
Funeral arrangements have not been made. Friends may call at the Moen chapel.
