Olin Barrett, age 24, of Olin, died this morning at 2 o'clock at a Cedar Rapids hospital, where he was taken a week ago today following an automobile accident in the Springville road. He suffered a fractured skull. The Barrett car was struck by another machine, the driver of which has not been identified.
The son of Walter J. and Esther Barrett, he was born Jan. 28, 1904, at Viola. He was married to Wilma Burroughs of Marion at Oregon, Ill., August 27, 1927. They made their home in Olin, where he was a painter.
Mr. Barrett is survived by his widow, his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Barrett of Olin; five sisters, Mrs. Rachel Pye of Olin, Rhoda Barrett of near Marion, Agnes Barrett of Cedar Rapids, Mabel and Audrey at home, and two brothers, Melvin of Portland, ore., and Arthur of Center Moreland, Pa.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
