John Raymond "Ray" Mann, 81, a Princeton, Iowa resident for two years, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday evening at Americana Healthcare Center in Davenport following a long illness.
He was born Sept. 2, 1903, at Marion, and married Edna R. Paylio on Oct. 15, 1932, in Chicago. She died in 1980. Mr. Mann was an engineer with Wilson Foods for over 25 years and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2272 for over 40 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy R. Rutledge of LeClaire, Iowa; three sisters, Mabel Hendryx of Vinton, and Ruth Cramer and Berniece Grafton, both of Cedar Rapids; and three grandchildren..
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. James United Methodist Church by the Rev. Cloyd J. Bishop. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
