Harvey T. Perrin, age 42, World war veteran, died Sunday at 12:10 p.m., following a seven months' illness. The son of Henry W. and Hattie W. Perrin, he was born in York, Neb., Feb. 22, 1886. With his parents he moved to Cedar Rapids in 1888, living there until the family moved to Marion in 1908.
Mr. Perrin joined the Canadian forced at Winnipeg in 1917. He served nine months in France and Belgium, and spent seven months in hospitals in Netley, England, and Coberg, Ont. He received his discharge July 15, 1919.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Perrin; two brothers, Scott of Pasadena, Calif., and Ray of Marion, and his niece, Mabel Perrin, also of Marion, besides five other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Pingrey chapel, with the Rev. W.A. Hanscom officiating. Marion post No. 298, American Legion, will be in charge of the service. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
