Clyde Wheeler Kearns, 83, died suddenly Sunday morning at his home, 1507 Tenth st.
Born Aug. 16, 1878, in the Linn Grove community, he farmed all his life in the Marion vicinity until retirement 10 years ago. He was married to Clara Nash Feb. 11, 1903.
He was a member of the Presbyterian church and sang in the choir for more than 50 years. Mr. Kearns was an elder in the church for many years.
Surviving are his wife; 2 brothers, Ralph, of Salem, Ore., and William E., of Marion, and a sister, Mable Kearns of Marion.
Services: Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Presbyterian church conducted by the Rev. Jean P. Hauter. Burial: Oak Shade....
