A Brief, Bright, Early Life Called to its reward. Arthur, son of J.A. and Amanda Sandefur was boron in Pike County, Illinois, July 29th, 1873, and departed this life May 15th, 1895, aged 21 yrs, 9 mo. 16 dys. Arthur was a boy of temperate habits, good moral character, and upright, honest life. He professed a change of life a few weeks before his death, taking Christ as his personal Savior and friend. The funeral services held at Mt. Zion church, were largely attended. The Martin's Creek Choir furnished music, and N.A. Mershon of Kenwood Park church, conducted the services. The Text was taken from Jeremiah XLVIII, 17.
