Anna Cooper, age 55, wife of C. Lesley Cooper, 290 Eighth avenue, died yesterday afternoon at her home following an illness of three years. As Anna Riley, daughter of Richard and Mary Reiley, she was born July 13, 1875, in Bertram, where she grew to womanhood. She was married to Lesley Cooper July 29, 1903, in Marion, by the Rev. Alexander Marshall, the pastor of the Presbyterian church. Mr. and Mrs. Cooper began housekeeping in Marion, and have since resided here. One son, LeRoy, was born to them. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Presbyterian church and was a past noble grand of Grove City Rebekah lodge No. 35.
She is survived by her husband, her son, and three brothers, Sherman Reiley, Ceda Rapids, Harley J. Reiley, Seattle, and H.C. Reiley, Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Elaine Clark, California, and Mrs. Gloe Starry, Marion.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Yocom chapel. The Rev. W.E. Fisher, pastor of the Presbyterian church will officiate. Grove City Rebekah lodge will be in charge. Burial will be in Oak Shade.
