Mrs. Nancy Marshall is reported critically ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Gray.

Mrs. Nancy Marshall, age 85, died yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Gray, 1419 Twelfth street, following a long illness.
The youngest of four daughters born to William and Anna Elizabeth Laverty, she was born August 8, 1845, in Williamsburg, Pa. She came with her parents to Cedar Rapids when she was 8 years old and was married to Ralph Marshall March 21, 1867, at Marshalltown by the Rev. S.N. Fellows. They began housekeeping at Ames where they lived for seventeen years, then moving to Vinton and Traer, where they lived before coming to Marion in 1883.
Six children were born to them: James, who died in infancy; Albert, who died 33 years ago; William, who died four years ago; Charles of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Mrs. Maude Danenbrink of Independence, and Mrs. Etta Gray of this city. Mr. Marshall died Jan. 26, 1913.
Mrs. Marshall was a member of the Methodist church and in her youth was active in temperance campaigns.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Yocom chapel. The Rev. E.D. Hull, pastor of the Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
