Services Saturday for Mrs. St. Germain
Elizabeth St. Germain, a resident of Marion and Kenwood most of her life, died in Marion Thursday, October 30, at 4:45 p.m.
She was born in Cairo, Ill., June 16, 1857, and was married in June, 1875, at St. Paul, Minn., to Joseph St. Germain, and is survived by one son, Ernest St. Germain, of Cedar Rapids, and one daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Herring of Castle Rock. There are also eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A second daughter, Albertine, died December 29, 1901, aged 18 years. The husband died in Minnesota in 1918, where the family had lived for ten years. The deceased was connected with the Christian church.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. Vernon H. Carter, Christian minister, in charge. Burial was made in Oak Shade cemetery.
