Ora Inez Conner, 83, a resident of Central City for the past eight years, passed away at her home at 5:20 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13. She was born the daughter of John and Martha Davis Lemon on Jan. 23, 1884 in Davis County, Ia. She was married to Ray Conner on April 11, 1900. Mr. Conner passed away on Dec. 17, 1930 at Waterloo. Mrs. Conner resided in Marengo before coming to Central city. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Central City, the Ladies Aid and the Agoma Class.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Hiel (Naomi) Henderson of Central City and Mrs. Wesley (Golda) Walker of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two sons, Lloyd U. Conner of Sidney and Merle LeRoy Conner; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Winn of Downing, Mo. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Florence Opal Kell; two sisters, Gertie Vorhis and Bertha Wellfort and three brothers, Alfred, Homer and Clay Lemon.
Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 at the United Church of Christ in Central City, conducted by Rev. Robert R. Williams. Interment was in Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
