Violet Romans, wife of Ashley N. Romans, 412 G avenue NW, a Cedar Rapids resident for 15 years, died in a Davenport hospital Sunday night following a sudden illness. She was born Dec. 20, 1896, in England, and was married Sept. 10, 1920, at davenport. Mr. and Mrs. Romans were visiting in Davenport at the time of her death.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two grandchildren. A son, Dale W. Romans, died June 1, 1959.
Mrs. Romans was a member of Olivet Presbyterian church and the Rebekah lodge at Aurora.
Memorial services: Turner chapel at 3 p.m . Thursday by the Rev. Roger Patton. Burial in Cedar Memorial. Friends may call at the chapel. The family suggest, that friends may, if they wish, contribute to the memorial fund of Olivet church.
