I have transcribed George's death notice. Please add to his bio:
From the Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette of November 15, 1894
Death At Center Point.
CENTER POINT, Nov. 15--At 5 o'clock last night George Abbott met an untimely death at his farm three miles east of town. He was on horse-back, driving some calves to pasture when his horse collided with one of the calves throwing Mr. Abbott to the ground, the horse falling on him killing him instantly. He was well known throughout this section. He leaves a wife and one child.
