MRS. W.H. BEADLE
Mrs. Rebecca Beadle, 1725 Fourth avenue SE, died in a Cedar Rapids hospital at 9:30 p.m. Thursday after a brief illness. Born April 9, 1854 in Dubuque county, she was married to William Henry Beadle in Dubuque. They pioneered in Sioux county, moved to Mt. Vernon in 1900 and to Cedar Rapids in 1920. Mr. Beadle died in February, 1939.
Mrs. Beadle was a member of St. Paul's Methodist church and the Sunday school and was an active worker in the W.C.T.U.
Surviving are a son, Joseph T. Beadle, Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Miss Jenna E. Beadle, principal, in the schools at Clarence; a granddaughter, Mrs. William T. Bell, whose husband is an ensign in the navy; a great-grandson, William Thomas Bell of Cedar Rapids, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral arrangement will be made later. Friends may call at the Moen chapel.
