Mrs. Elizabeth Jones Passed Away Monday
Following a short illness, Mrs. Elizabeth Marley[sic] Jones, died Monday at 7:30 p.m., at the home of her son, A.R. Jones, east of Marion.
Born Aug. 23, 1856, in Springfield, Mass., she had been a resident of Linn county since her marriage to Mr. Jones, Aug. 4, 1881. Mr. Jones died five years ago.
Mrs. Jones is a member of the Presbyterian church and of the Reading Circle. She leaves two sons, A.R. Jones of near Marion; Walter of Grand Forks, N.D.; one daughter Mrs. Julia Osborne of Louisa; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the aunt of George Reichart and Mrs. W.S. Campbell, both of Marion.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 3 p.m., with the Rev. W.E. Fisher, pastor of the Presbyterian church officiating. Burial was made in the Oak Shade cemetery.
