Lula "Lou" M. Erwin, 91, a former Marion resident, passed away Friday noon, Feb. 10 at the P.E.O. home in Alhambra, Calif. She was born the daughter of William and Emily Wallace Erwin on June 28, 1875 at Marion, Ia. In the early 1900s she moved to Long Beach, Calif. and has resided at the PEO home in Alhambra since 1941. Miss Erwin was a member of the Presbyterian church and the PEO.
Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Irvin (Dorothy) Scott of Marion and a nephew, William Erwin of Milford, N.M. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harley W. Erwin and a sister, Jeanette Weatherly.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17 at the Murdoch chapel in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Charles Moore. Interment was in Oak Shade Cemetery.
