Lucius Cone passed from this life at 4 o'clock this morning after a long and severe illness, and although his death had been expected for some days, the sad news was a shock to his many friends. He leaves besides his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. O.B. Cone, of this city, a brother, H.D. Cone, and a sister, Mrs. Dr. M. Rice, of Cedar Rapids, and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his loss. The funeral services will be held from the Methodist church at 2 p.m. Saturday, conducted by his pastor, Rev. J.C. Van Ness. He was an extremely bright and promising young man and had a host of friends both old and young; was prominent in the work of the church and Sunday school and in the work of the Y.M.C.A. and will be sadly missed. All unite in extending their sympathy to the bereaved family.
