The death of Lee Lutz, of this city, occurred last Sunday, at the home of his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Kirkpatrick, in Atchinson, Kan., having gone south last fall on account of failing health. The remains arrived in Marion Monday morning, being accompanied by Mrs. Kirkpatrick and Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Courtney. There were many beautiful floral offerings, among them being a floral ladder from the D.R. The deceased was also a member of the Knights of Pythias order, holding his membership at Black Diamond, Wash., where he was initiated about three years ago. The Black Diamond lodge telephoned instructions to Mrs. E.E. Parsons, G.M. of R. and C. of the Rathbone sisters, to purchase for them a floral piece, but the telegram was not received till Wednesday morning.
Members of Mariola lodge, No 8, K. of P. and the D.R. Kinley Hook and Ladder Co. attended the funeral in a body.
