JOSEPH J. BERANEK
Funeral services were held for Joseph J. Beranek, 81, a lifetime resident of Prairieburg, Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Prairieburg.
The Rev. John R. Hussman officiated.
Interment was at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.
He died Sunday at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids.
He was born the son Joseph and Mary Johanek Beranek on Oct. 19, 1905 at Prairieburg.
He farmed for many years and was a member of St. Joseph's' Catholic Church in Prairieburg.
Surviving are one niece and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Tony Beranek and Rev. Wesley Beranek.
Murdoch Funeral Home in Central City was in charge of arrangements.
