DOROTHEA A. LEDVINA
Funeral services were held for Dorothea A. Ledvina, 80, a resident of Marion and Linn County for the past 75 years, Monday at Murdoch Chapel in Marion.
The Rev. Nick Longworth officiated.
Interment was at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
She died Dec. 31 at her home following a long illness.
She was born the daughter of John and Bertha Holzhaus Larimer on March 23, 1906 at South Dakota.
She graduated from Central City High School.
On March 23, 1925 at Waterloo, she was married to Eddie Ledvina, who died May 8, 1986.
She and her husband farmed in the Linn County area for over 60 years.
Surviving are two sons, Edward of Satellite Beach, Fla., and Richard of Marion; a daughter, Jeanne E. Moss of Newbury Park, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, William Larimer of Shellsburg; and a sister, Verma Gillmore of Olin.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial fund has been established.
