MILDRED HICKMAN
Funeral services were held for Mildred Hickman, 87, Marion, a lifelong resident of the Linn County area, Monday at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion.
The Rev. John Scherb officiated.
Interment was at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
She died Friday at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, following a sudden illness.
She was born the daughter of Marcus and Nellie McCreery Hickman on July 20, 1899 at rural Marion.
She was a member of the Alburnett United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, the Rural Book Club, Ladies Progressive Club, Alburnett Supper Club, and the Senior Citizens Club.
Surviving are two nephews, Clair Robertson and Neal Robertson, both of Martelle; and two nieces, Marilyn McCrary of Pacific Junction, Iowa, and Phyllis Farnum of Beloit, Wis.; five great-nieces and nephews; and four great-great nieces and nephews.
