Mrs. Mary Ann Groll, wife of Geo. F. Groll, died Feb. 21, 1891, in the 66th year of her age. She was born in Germany, and came to Iowa in 1854, settling in Linn County. She was a woman of excellent character, a faithful wife, a tender mother, highly appreciated by all who knew her. Her illness was short and her death sudden. Rev. Dr. Crippen attended and conducted the funeral services at Martin's Creek Church on Monday.
