Raymond C. Wright, 52, of 1212 Ninth street NW, a resident of Cedar Rapids since 1954, died Friday in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
Born June 7, 1921, at Norcross, Minn., he was married April 17, 1954, at Marion to Bernice Ford Ely. Mr. Wright served with the U.S. army in the European theater during World war II. He was employed at Quaker Oats Co. for 20 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a stepson, William Rowland, Cedar Rapids; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Lera Osborn and Mrs. George Mundy, Cedar Rapids; ten grandchildren, two brothers, Robert Wright, Cedar Rapids, and Wesley Wright, Garnavillo, and two sisters, Mrs. Ivan Wood, Garnavillo and Mary Hiebert, Central City.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday at the Murdoch chapel, Marion, by the Rev. James McCoy. Burial: Oak Shade cemetery, Marion. Friends may call at the Murdoch chapel after 1 p.m. Sunday.
