Bernice E. Lewis Wright, 67, of 1212 Ninth St. NW died Sunday night at her residence following a long illness.
She was born Oct. 19, 1915 at Selma, Iowa. On April 17, 1954, she was married to Raymond Wright, who died Jan. 18, 1974.
Mrs. Wright was a cook at Armstrong's Cedar Room for many years before retiring in 1973.
Surviving are: two daughters, Lera Osborne and Delores Mundy, both of Cedar Rapids; a son, William Rowland of Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren; a half-brother, Merrill Mittag of Des Moines; and three half-sisters, Mrs. Earl Ellis of Savanna, Ill., Mrs. Richard Weiss of Humboldt and Mrs. Viola Rogers of Massachusetts.
Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Murdoch Funeral Chapel, Marion, by the Rev. Charles Miller. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 4 p.m. today. A memorial fund has been established.
