Former Marion Resident Dies In Cedar Rapids Sun.
Howard Terrell, a former Marion resident, passed away at 4 p.m. Sunday, February 24, at the Magnus hotel where he made his home.
He was born April 4, 1883 at Des Moines, the son of Charles and Sarah Fassett Terrell. He was married March 1, 1914 at Cedar Rapids to Mrs. Eldora Emery Whitehead, a native of Marion, and they made their home in Marion until they moved to Cedar Rapids in 1938. Mrs. Terrell passed away on January 28, 1952 at Rockford, Ill.
Surviving are a step daughter, Mrs. F.E. Gillette, Rockford, Ill., two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Memorial services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Murdoch chapel by the Rev. Jean P. Hauter, pastor of the Marion Presbyterian church. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery.
