Rose E. Wright, 90, a resident of the Marion and rural Springville area since 1933, until moving to Central City in May of this year, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, in a Marion Nursing home. She was born the daughter of James and Anna Stembra Shebeck on Jan. 9, 1890 at Des Moines. On Aug. 13, 1908 at Des Moines she was married to Walter A. Wright who passed away Feb. 22, 1965. Mrs. Wright cooked in Marion restaurants for many years.
Surviving are three sons, Wesley W. Wright of Marion, Robert A Wright and Raymond C. of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. Ivan (Edna) Wood of Springville and Mrs. Mary Hiebert of Central City; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and a brother, Frank Shebeck of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Services were 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5 at the Murdoch chapel in Marion conducted by Rev. John Rosenberger. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery, Marion.
