Thomas Scott
Thomas Arthur Scott, 76, of 155 19th st., Marion, died at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City, Sunday, June 5, where he had been a patient for the past week.
Mr. Scott was born at Springville, March 18, 1890. The family moved to Marion when he was two years old and he had spent his entire life here. He married Bessie Lucille Holubar in August 1941.
Mr. Scott served as an engineer in the army during World War I. He was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 298.
Survivors are his widow.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Baxter Memorial Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Charles Moore. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Legion Post #298 of Marion.
