Edward J. Scott, 79, of 3101 C Ave. NE, a Cedar Rapids resident for 53 years, died today at his home following a long illness.
Born Sept. 12, 1900, at Dwight, Ill., he was married to the former Marguerite LeGuire on Sept. 16, 1926, at Cedar Rapids. He was employed by Altorfer Machinery Co. He was a member of Kenwood Park Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder. He was also a member of the Mariners Club and the Linn County Fish and Game Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Jacqueline Steiner of Powell, Wyo., and Mrs. Nancy Domer of Marion; one brother, Clarence of Newport Richey, Fla.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Kenwood Park Presbyterian Church by the Rev. David N. Roth of Kenwood Park Presbyterian. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery....
