Ora Sandefur Died at Cedar Rapids Residence Today
Ora E. was born in Pleasant Hill, Ill., October 14, 1866 to Mr. and Mrs. John A. Sandeful and passed away at her home at 2322 B Avenue, Cedar Rapids, this morning.
Preceeding her in death was her mother, when Ora was two and a half years old; a twin brother at three weeks old; two sisters, Myrtle Baird and Iva Yeisley. She made her home with her grandfather Humphrey until she was six years of age when her father remarried.
She came to Marion in 1872, where she lived with the exception of two years at Storm Lake. She was married to James W. Busenbark on October 17, 1883. To this union was born two sons, Merle and Earl. Mr. Busenbark passed away in 1930. She was remarried to S.A. Mittan, December 1930.
During her life time she was active in church work at Mt. Zion church where she was converted, and St. Paul's Methodist church in Cedar Rapids.
Surviving are her husband, S.A. Mittan, her two sons, and three grandchildren, Mrs. Ava Fleming, John and Betty at home, also nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday at St. Paul's Methodist church, Cedar Rapids, in charge of Rev. Charles J. Bready, the pastor. Burial will be in Cedar memorial park.
