Robert Smith
Robert C. Smith, 54, of 1040 Parkview Dr., died suddenly Monday afternoon in a local hospital.
Mr. Smith was born Dec. 3, 1917 at St. Louis, Mo. He was married to Alfreda[sic] Wolfrum Sept. 6, 1947 in Hof, Germany. He served with the United States Air Force for 21 years and retired April 30, 1962.
He came to Marion nine years ago and was employed at Collins Radio as a computer operator.
Survivors are his wife, four sons, Robert C., Steven B. and Kenneth E., all at home, Airman Victor B. at Sheppard AFB, Tex., one daughter, Pamela A. at home.
Services will be held at the Baxter Memorial Chapel Friday, Dec. 31 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. David F. Larson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion. Military services will [be] conducted at graveside.
