HOWARD GILBERT MILLER.
Howard Gilbert Miller, only child of Chas. O. and Hattie Miller, was born January 5th, 1900, and died March 5th, 1904, at the age of four years. Howard was a bright, beautiful boy, the light of the home and the joy of his parents. Their home is indeed sad and dreary without the prattle and brightness of the little one who was thus soon taken from them. He had been playing in the yard and in some manner tipped a wagon over on himself. He had been playing with the family dog and the dog's being alone and his queer actions caused the mother to make a search for the child and he was found dead under the box.
The funeral services were held at the home on Monday, March 7th, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Edward Lee, and largely attended by friends and neighbors. Interment was in the Marion cemetery.
