Rudolph Notbohm
Rudolph F. Notbohm, 90, a retired farmer and resident of Walker for the past four years, died Oct. 14 in a Cedar Rapids nursing home. HE was born the son of Henry and Catherine Struchen Notbohm on Jan. 20, 1884 near Lafayette, Ia. On April 6, 1935 he was married to Eloise Sailor at Monticello. Mr. Notbohm was formerly of Mt. Vernon and Lisbon until moving to Walker. He was a member of the United Methodist church.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Kathleen Notbohm of Peru, Ill.; a son, Lester Notbohm of Ceiba, Puerto Rico; two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Schmickle of Alburnett and Mrs. Myrtle Stephenson of Marion; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 at the Murdoch chapel in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Rolland C. Towell and Rev. M.C. Melcher. Interment was in Cedar Memorial Park. Friends may if they wish contribute to the Lafayette United Methodist church as a memorial.
