Jack Worthan, 76, of Elgin, Ill., a former Cedar Rapids resident, died Sunday in Elgin following a brief illness.
Born in Cedar Rapids in 1901, he was married to Jean Beiers in 1948. Mr. Worthan had been employed by Peterson' Bakery and the Crandic Railroad before moving to Elgin.
Surviving in addition to his wife, is a son, John, Elgin; a sister, Mrs. Thomas J. Condon; and two brothers, Fred and Marion Worthan, all of Cedar Rapids.
Services will be held Tuesday at Dixon, Ill.
