E. Colette Iseminger Scott, 91, of Marion, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a short illness.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 6 at Murdoch Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Howard Chapman officiated. Burial followed in Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Surviving are a son, E. Wayne Scott and wife Ann of Marion.
Also surviving are two grandchildren {private}; six step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Opal Iseminger.
Born the daughter of Ernest and Gertrude Barkley Iseminger on Oct. 30, 1906 in Haskins, Iowa, she married C. Harold Scott on June 10, 1931 in Cedar Rapids. He died Nov. 20, 1988. Colette was employed as a technical editor in the publications department at Rockwell-Collins, retiring in 1972. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Marion; U.S. Homemaker's Circle; Cedar Rapids Cedar Chapter 184, O.E.S.; White Shrine, serving as worthy high priestess; Eu'cha-Rest Temple 68, Daughters of the Nile, serving as past queen; and Social Order of Beauceant Assembly 87.
Memorials may be made in Colette's memory to Marion Churches Senior Living Foundation. Services under the direction of Murdoch Funeral Homes.
