Mary V. Mundy, 81, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center, died there Friday, May 3, 1996, after a brief illness. Graveside services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oak Shade Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Murdoch Funeral Home, Marion.
Survivors include three sons{omitted for privacy}, three daughters, LaVida Wehde of Tipton, {omitted for privacy}; and a stepdaughter {omitted for privacy}.
Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, LaVina; two brothers, Irving and Russell Cole; and two sisters, Margery Judd and Vivian Tucker. Born the daughter of Henry and Virginia Cole on March 16, 1915 in Davenport, she married Warren P. Mundy in Rock Island, Ill. Mary was employed at Ole's Ham and Egger for many years and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mary was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all whose life she touched....
