--The death of Daniel C. Horn occurred Dec. 24 at his late home in Cedar Rapids. He was taken with valvular leakage of the heart a few weeks ago, and had been receiving treatment at St. Luke's hospital. A few days before his death, being somewhat improved, he wished to go home, and his wished were needed to. His funeral was held Saturday afternoon at Pingrey's undertaking parlors in Marion, Rev. A.T. Bishop conducting the services. The deceased was born in Marion on May 29, 1869, where the most of his life was spent. On April 25, 1889, he was married to Pearl M. Smith, who survives him. One daughter was born to them, who died in infancy over twenty years ago. He is also survived by three sisters, viz: Mrs. L.J. Cole, Mrs. Lydia Dawson and Miss Mary A. Horn. He was the last of six brothers.
