Mrs. Daniel A. Lawrence passed away Thursday, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Stafford, on North Ninth street. She had been ill about two years with tuberculosis, and the past few months was a great sufferer. Nora Evelyn Stafford was born September 7, 1887, in Allamakee county and came to the city with her parents when eight years old, receiving her education in the Marion schools. She joined the Methodist church when quite young and was a faithful and interested member. On June 26, 1917, she was married to Daniel A. Lawrence, who has been a devoted husband. A daughter, Marjory, by a former marriage, survives her, a little son having died in an elevator accident a few years ago. Her parents, three sisters and four brothers are also left to mourn her death. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the residence, with the Rev. A.H. Hanscom in charge.
