D.A. Lawrence died Monday at 5 p.m. at a sanatorium in Ottumwa, according to word received by relatives here. He was 38 years of age. He was born in August 1885, in New York state, moving to Cedar Rapids when he was a boy, and he lived here most of his life. He was married in 1916 to Miss Nora Kenyon, she having died last July. He was an employe of Martin Wood company of Davenport last fall, when he was taken ill of influenza, subsequent attacks of the disease having been the cause of his death.
The funeral will be held from the Pingery chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. A.H. Hanscom officiating. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
