Mrs. Sadie Rose, Life-Long Linn Resident Died Here on Sunday
Mrs. Sadie Rose, a life-long resident of Linn county, died Sunday, Nov. 7, at 4:35, at her home, 585 31st street, Marion, following a long illness.
Mrs. Rose was born in the Linn Grove neighborhood on February 19, 1887, the daughter of William and Effie Rose Van Nornan[sic], and was married in Marion on March 21, 1903, to Everett Rose, who survives. Also surviving are their 5 children, Mrs. Ethel Hanson[sic], Mrs. Bessie Scott, Ralph and Russell Rose, all of Marion, and Pfc. George Rose, of Lawndale, Calif.; four grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Olive Ralston, of Lisbon.
Mrs. Rose was a member of the Marion Christian church, and had resided in Marion ever since her marriage.
Funeral services will be held at the Yocom chapel Friday at 10:30 a.m., in charge of the Rev. Vernon H. Carter, Christian church minister. Burial will be made in Oak Shade cemetery. The bearers will be Arthur Foreman, Henry Everett, Clifford Sills and I.N. Bower.
