Everett Rose Rites Wednesday
EVERETT ROSE, 86, 549 31st street, Marion, passed away at 5:05 A.M., Monday, October 16, 1961 at an Iowa City hospital, following a long illness. The son of George W. and Elizabeth Knapp Rose, he was born November 14, 1874 near Paralta, Iowa. On March 21, 1903, he was married to Sarah (Sadie) Van Norman. Mrs. Rose passed away on November 7, 1943 at Marion. Mr. Rose was a retired Milwaukee Railroad employee.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Archie (Bessie) Scott, Marion, two sons: George W., Marion and Ralph Rose, Hermiston, Oregon; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Ann Werner, Dorchester, Wisconsin.
Services at 3:30 P.M., Wednesday, October 18th at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Marvin W. Gee of Cedar Rapids. Interment will be in Oak Shade Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 P.M. Tuesday.
