Pioneer Passed Away.
Mrs. Anna P. Aldrich, who for the past two years has made her home in the city with her daughters, and who for thirty-six years prior had been a resident of Marion, died at 4 o'clock this morning at the age of 79 years. Mrs. Aldrich has been a sufferer from paralysis for some time the final stroke coming about two weeks ago that caused her death.
She was born in Dudley, Mass., in the year 1830, and was married to Nelson Aldrich in 1854 at Thompson, Conn. To this union were born seven children, five of whom survive her: Mrs. J.A. Logston at whose home she died, Mrs. Charles W. Emery of Marion; Mrs. Cora Frazier of this city, Mrs. John W. Gilligan of Phillipsburg, N.J., and Mrs. Eva Farrows of Cedar Rapids. The funeral announcement will be made later.
