BERNARD W. PICKREL
Funeral services were held for Bernard W. Pickrel, 74, of Cedar Rapids and a former Marion resident, July 1 at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
He died June 29 at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a lengthy illness.
He was born the son of Clarence and Hazel Hoagland Pickrel on Oct. 29, 1912 at Red Oak, Iowa.
He married Vivian D. Green in 1946 in Missouri. She died June 10, 1974. Mr. Pickrel served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving are a son, Keene Pickrel of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Murdoch Funeral Home in Marion was in charge of arrangements.
